Alias failover IPs to a container in proxmox

I have tried to add several IPs to a proxmox container as shown here:
https://docs.ovh.com/fr/dedicated/network-ipaliasing/

But the machine doesn't respond to the alias addresses .
I have also tried adding the IPs to newly created interfaces with a virtual MAC address. But the machine stopped responding to the additional addresses.
