Question

E-Mail Pro / why does not synchronize my original folder structure ?

I migrated from E-Mail to E-Mail Pro and since the migration is done - I do not have the original folder structure in my email account. I can send and get emails, but folders are gone - means - locally I cannot see the folders in Outlook!

Why?

Hello,

Depending on the IMAP server, the folders "Sent, Trash, Drafts" are subfolders of Inbox ; or are located at the top folder of your mailbox.

Do not hesitate to search for an IMAP option "Subscribe to..." in order to view them, and another option in order to synchronise them automatically.

Thank you very much. Yes these folders (sent items, draft, trash) I have but my folder structure is completely missing. Where can I find the IMAP options?

This is a typical problem with Microsoft mail products, since the good old Outlook Express, shipped with Windows XP.

Instead of showing your folders in your native language (here German), Outlook creates (or renames ?) the standard ones (Inbox, Sent, Trash, ...) in your language, and generates a big mess.

There is no immediate solution with this, the mess is there, you will have to go in all your mail programs (e.g. outlook or Thunderbird on PC, Mail on iPhone, K9Mail or other on Android, ...) and map the corresponding folders on every device for your Inbox , Sent items...

See an example with Thunderbird:
