**How do I specify a different e-mail for the WHOIS contact info than my account e-mail?**

Hello everyone,

My **domain name** is :(irrelevant for the question)

And I use **the offer** : "Service: Domain"

I have two different e-mail names, one is **my personal e-mail** registered with a non-OVH provider that most importantly would be **available even with a domain outage, e.g. possibly caused by my own DNS misconfiguration.** However, for my public-facing work I have a **work e-mail** which uses **one of the domains I registered with OVH**. I would like to use the *latter* to show in the WHOIS database. How do I do that?

The only way I found so far to specify any other e-mail is to use it as a login e-mail for an OVH account, then transfer the entire responsibility and access of that domain seemingly irrevocably to that account, and then specify that amount as a contact. But then my reliable, independent personal e-mail would no longer be tied to the ownership of the domains, which is exactly what I wanted to avoid.

I would like a way where I can just set my work e-mail as a WHOIS contact, but without transferring my entire ownership and OVH access to that e-mail for reliability reasons. For all other domain registrars I used before this was possible, so I'm assuming it is somehow with OVH and I just haven't found the button yet. (Admittedly, the interface is quite overwhelming for any newcomer like me.) Any help appreciated.

Regards,

el
