How to link my new domain (without hosting option) to my public IP address

Hello,
Please forgive my ignorance! I am a noob in web administration.
I purchased a domain name without hosting option, I believe DNS records have been broadcasted since 12 hours now. I managed to verify my domain adding a CNAM record to HTTPS certify the domain, but one step is missing, I do not understand how this domain is linked to my home IP static and public address. Therefore I couldn't have access to a web app that is running and has been accessible before with the same configurations (router ports, static public IP, ...) so to finally verify the installation of the certificate and most importantly access my web app through the new domain. Is there an option to put my IP in OVH ?
