INFRA servers and ISO via IPMI

Hello,

I've been recently trying out one of the new INFRA servers and I'm really, really struggling to try and install a custom ISO on them.

The first attempt was trivial: I've tried to use IPMI to load the custom ISO and do the install manually, but it is impossible, as every time I try it eventually freezes during the upload, both on the Java based and the web based interface.

Then I've attempted to use the IPXE customer scripts (https://github.com/gmasse/ovh-ipxe-customer-script) but the combination of the server eventually going black after chaining and a complete lack of suppor for this feature makes this completely unusable.

So, I don't think that what I'm trying to do is something new or unique. I'm really baffled to be struggling in some trivial action that shouldn't even be a pain.

Is there something that I'm missing? the only thing I want to do is to install an ISO using the interface. I'm not talking about SO configuration, I just want to boot into a custom installer so that I can, eventually, configure what I need.

I've tried to contact the support times many times but all I get is a wall of deflections and "our administrators report that it's fine", which leads me to think that my requests are not being properly managed.

And alas, I'm here, trying to find solace and advice within the community. Is anyone experiecing (or has experienced) issues such like these? I did mention an INFRA server, but it does happen on all of the metal machines that I manage.

Regards,
