Question about reclaiming "old" mailing lists

Hello there good people!

I have a question in regards to my old mailing list from already-expired domain - since 2020, I gave up on hosting my domain and now going back in business. Said domain was closed 2 years ago, but I remembered I had a list of mailing addresses saved there. Now, even though the domain is closed, the email shows as "active" and sending random message there does not return a "could not deliver" error.
Is there any way (including repurchasing the domain) for me to reclaim the mailing list I had there?
