Hello there,
This forum seems remarkably quiet but hopefully someone here will have a suggestion.
We have a dedicated server which contains many business critical services. My current backup approach is daily SQL dumps plus daily DAR differential backups. These all go to our backup storage server via NFS.
However I don't feel that this is suitable for a true disaster where a harddrive is corrupted or the machine fails entirely. I'm not yet using configuration management like Puppet (with only one server it felt like a burdon), so reinstating the machine would be quite time consuming.
Do people have suggestions on a low cost approach / is there a service OVH can offer which will make us more resilient? We are a charity and so budgets are limited.
regards,
Alasdair
