Two-factor authentication?

Is the two-factor authentication for the OVH Control Panel mandatory these days? I couldn't log in without enabling it first. I want to disable it , but I can't find way to do that or guide how to do that. There is only the option "delete the device" (mobile phone). Is that the same thing? Does that disable the two-factor authentication?
