Hi all,
Thought we'd share this in case anyone else decides to do the same thing.
We recently created a new VPS which hosts several websites.
As good practise, we started a snapshot of the VPS. Big mistake. The VPS is online but stuck with a status of saving... All the hosted websites are down. Contacted support and the response is that the VPS is online. 19 hours later, it still has a status of saving.... and no further forward. All the hosted websites are still down.
Don't bother using the snapshot option, unless you want your VPS to go offline for a long time (we hope ours comes back online).
As for the support response "We have checked your server and can confirm it is active, running on our infrastructure and accessible via the public network" despite being inaccessible via SSH, unable to reboot via the portal and of course the KVM does nothing too.
