DNS Wildcard. Works or not?

Hello,
I watched through the web that since 2009 OVH accepts wildcard, but it looks like it doesn't work.

I tried *.domain.com CNAME and A, without success.
So the wildcard is active or not?

something like * or @ used to work, but now they have sabotaged the customers and validation no longer allows a legit operation such as this is.

shame is no word for this.
