Error of database + redirection

Hello,
I have very old domain (since 2011) and lately there is an error message about the connexion to the database when I visit the website (www.drinklipstick.com).
I have created a new domain (www.drinklipstick.be). The aim is to redirect the old domain to the new one. I know how to do it with ovh but before I do so, I wanted to know if this will cause any problem due to the problem of database of the old domain ?
