Upgrade impossible from ubuntu 20.10 (groovy) to 21.10 (impish)

I have a vps where ubuntu 20.10 is installed and I would like to install 21.10.

I followed this tutorial
https://docs.ovh.com/ca/fr/public-cloud/upgrade-os/

when I run this command : `sudo do-release-upgrade`

it fires an error : `An upgrade from 'groovy' to 'impish' is not supported with this tool.`

I went by the official documentation of ubuntu and as long as I read it is not possible to upgrade version too far away from each other via this tool, the solution would be to install the os with a bootable key but this is clearly impossible from a vps. Is there any solution to my problem ? or should I consider migrating everything to a new vps with the right ubuntu version ?

on server you should only use LTS version.
