Hello,
I have some questions on which product(s) I require for my use case.
I will be running a small website using React/Next.js and Strapi as a CMS (self hosting it). After some research, it seems a VPS is required for this (rather than shared hosting solution). I'm quite a beginner though so I would like to get some feedback on what I'll require.
The products I currently have:
- Domain
- MX plan
- DNS zones
If I understand correctly, the MX plan support redirecting emails. Incoming emails are indeed forwarded properly, but it seems since 2026 the integration within Gmail UI is no longer possible. I would like this to be able to send outgoing mails from my email connected to the domain I purchased. Moreover, it seems nothing related to emails is included in a VPS plan.
My questions:
1. Is VPS indeed the product I need to run React/Strapi? If so, since it's a small website, will VPS2 suffice?
2. What else would I require, eg. any other product related to mails so I can also SEND emails from the email attached to the domain I purchased?
Thanks a lot!

Gmail has discontinued the service that allows polling an external mailbox via POP3. Use another method, such as IMAP, or forward your e-mails to a Gmail address, with the risk of losing some messages (identified as spam by OVH, or rejected by Gmail during redirection)
Regarding your Node.js application, I would have recommended "Cloud Web" from OVH. I have the feeling that this offer has been retired last month.
