Hello all,

Anyone can provide assistance in configuring the IPv4 vmkernel (vmk0) interface so ESXi accepts the default gateway 100.64.0.1 ?

Right now the standard esxi utilities prohibits adding such a route:

[root@localhost:~] esxcfg-route -a default 100.64.0.1
Setting default route for VMkernel to 100.64.0.1
Error: Unable to set VMkernel gateway address to 100.64.0.1 as there are no VMkernel interfaces on the same network with that IP address.

Thanks
