Domain name not pointing to web hosting

Hi Guys, I've been googling this for hours and I'm as confused as ever.

I got a web hosting plan with OVH, the basic one, and it came with a free domain name (which I was going to get anyway) I installed wordpress on it, which shows up on the hosting domain (.cluster030.hosting.ovh.net/) but the actual domain still just points to the OVH "Felicitations!" page. And any attempt to access anything from the hosting page (like wordpress admin) links to the proper domain url, but still shows just the "Felicitations!" page. Do I need to edit my DNS zone? DNS nameservers? I'm lost!
