Add aliases to an MX Plan offering

Hello,

I am on an MXPLAN 1 hosting plan, and I also have a domain name and a "Free hosting" offer with web hosting.

I need to add an alias to my email address; this documentation seems to indicate that it is possible with my current plan, but I don’t see any alias column, nor any "Configure my aliases" or "Manage my aliases" action.

I also saw this thread that resembles my problem, but I don’t see how to detach the email from the web, and the documentation mentioned at the end no longer talks about "detaching" either.

I don’t use the web hosting (it could be cancelled without issue); I just need the domain name and an email address with an alias (perhaps several in the future).

My plan does not allow me to create a support ticket, so I rely on the wise advice of the community :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

I can provide more information to help with the investigation; personally I’m running out of ideas.

Best regards,
Pogus

Hello @Pogus

What do you have?

  • Roundcube

You can see it in General Information.

Hello @Pogus

You should check your client area in the MX email section:
If your webmail is Roundcube, then adding aliases is done via redirects to create in your client area.
If your webmail is OutlookWeb or Zimbra, then aliases are configured in the webmail, although the redirect mechanism can also be offered to you.

On this free offer, there is no option to detach or separate mail hosting from your web hosting.

It's Roundcube, the redirect worked, thank you very much!
