Can not ssh into instance with FreeBSD image

For whatever reason the FreeBSD system is not accepting the ssh key and wants a password.
The key works fine with various instances and Debian images.

PS It would help if someone could confirm if she/he is able to login into an instance with the FreeBSD image and tell me the type of SSH key.
