Hello,
Following the hack of my site’s Joomla administration area, I applied the recommended security measures. My site was working fine until 18/09/2026 when I received an error message.
I cleared the site, but the error persists. I opened a ticket
CS16747492 :
Can you help me? Thank you.
hello, thank you, but I solved the problem myself by consulting OVHcloud's AI help 3. Reactivation after a 403 block
If your site is blocked by a 403 Forbidden error (often due to access restrictions or a security block), you can reactivate access by changing the root folder permissions via FTP:
- Open FileZilla and log in to your hosting's FTP storage space.
- In the menu bar, click Server, then Enter FTP command.
- Enter the following command to change the root folder permissions:
SITE CHMOD 705 /
Best regards
Hello,
If you haven't eradicated all hostile files on your hosting, OVH may consider it a repeat offense and apply a permission change that you won't be able to revert with a chmod 705.
Make sure not to leave any other "remnants" lying around...
