🚨 [Incident] Temporary unavailability of the translation function

Hello everyone,

We would like to inform you that the forum's built‑in translation feature has unfortunately been unavailable since this morning.

This malfunction is due to an ongoing technical incident on our AI endpoints, which handle the background processing of translations.

Our teams are already mobilized to identify the source of the issue and restart the affected services as quickly as possible.

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused to the continuation of your international discussions. We will keep you informed directly on this thread as soon as the service is operational again.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Hi @FabL

Thank you very much for the information :folded_hands:

This morning, seeing that I didn’t understand anything, I started a French course… at least it has helped me take a good initiative :joy:

So far I’ve learned to greet and say goodbye, little by little… "Bonjour", "Au revoir"

Au revoir,
Sergio TurpĂn

It's because you need to activate the endpoint /api/@Gaston and you will have the guide to translate.

Can we know which LLM is used for the translations @FabL?

Hello @FabL
When will it be back in service?

Hello TTY, for now we’re on gpt-oss-120b. It’s not the most optimized, but the Discourse translation plugin is quite specific and heavily based on open‑ai.

Hello Gaston,

It's already been back in service since yesterday, I think. It was more an endpoint issue than a plugin/code one.

Thank you @Incognito
