# Installing Ubuntu 16.04 on a VPS

Hi  
I'm trying to install Ubuntu Server 16.04 on my VPS Classic 2014 VPS. I noticed in the dropdown list that it's not available, however on my other other VPS 2016 SSD it is indeed available. I figured I'd try migrate [as instructed here](https://www.ovh.com/world/g1862.how_to_migrate_from_vps_2014_to_2016#manual_or_automatic_migration_manual_migration), however I'm greeted by the text “Not available” with not further reasoning.  
  
Obviously I could choose to install Ubuntu Server 14.04 and do a dist upgrade but I'd rather not go through the hassle of that. Please advice.

Unfortunately Ubuntu 16.04 is not available in our VPS 2014 Range. In order to install this, please purchase a server in our new VPS 2016 range.
