Hi.

Something might be wrong.
I have troubles checking out ns000000.ip-12-34-56-78.eu and subdomain.mydomain.com.
Asked ns.kimsufi.com if he knows anything about subdomain.mydomain.com was a negative.

If the plan is "hiding yourself on the net" then ok, yo're good.

Please see the screenshot of the secondary DNS configuration. I don't see any other DNS configuration options available

I have recently purchased a KS-3 dedicated server and I am in the process of setting up an email server on it alongwith other services. I have pointed the A record of my domain subdomain.mydomain.com to point to the IP address of the server. I have also set the NS record of subdomain.mydomain.com to point to the ns000000.ip-12-34-56-78.eu address of my server and the secondary NS record to ns.kimsufi.com.

I have logged into the Kimsufi control panel, clicked on DNS and then added a Secondary DNS record that maps subdomain.mydomain.com to the IP address of my VM. I also completed the ownercheck verification successfully. Even after more than 12 hours of doing so, the reverse DNS (PTR) records for the IP address of my server still returns the ns000000.ip-12-34-56-78.eu domain name as the answer.

Please let me know if I am doing something wrong and how to fix it.

Thanks in advance!
