kimsufi KVM IP USB - how to use?

I have an old bare metal kimsufi which have been running Gentoo. Unfortunately one drive died and was replaced. The re-build of the raid1 failed due to lots of error on the second driver so that was replaced too. But now I had to re-install Gentoo using the rescue image. Unfortunately it did not respond to ping/ssh after install/boot. Hence I need to see the kernel log messages.

10 years ago when I first installed Gentoo it was possible to boot from an ISO image and access the console including grub and kernel messages.

But now I ordered something called "KVM IP USB". The problem is that it comes with no instructions and no other information than an IP number. Will this let me access the console to observe the grub and kernel log in order to figure out what is wrong?

There is no information other than the price and legal information all in French when you order.

Is this an IPMI interface? If so it should come with a admin name and password (I tried the default ADMIN) but it does not respond. Or is it some kind of serial port server in which I have to redirect the grub and kernel messages to a serial port, or is it a full blown video and keyboard interface, but how do I access it? I tried "vncviewer IP" but it's timing out. I would also expect a password if it was a VNC type of interface.

BTW the IPMI tab in the control panel contains no other information than an IP and the expiration date of the paid service. It's nothing like the screenshots I've seen in the documentation I can find on ovh.com.

There are different USB KVM models depending on the server range, one is HTTPS + Java, the other is only accessible via VNC. Yours is probably the second kind and the password should be in the email you received when you created the intervention. Can you please provide me with the name of the server or its ID? Thank you. I was able to connect using vncviewer after the KVM was fixed (and I reachable by ping).
Also I was pointed to the local customer mail archive at OVH where I found an e-mail describing how to use it and it was indeed using VNC and there was login information provided in the e-mail.

So I'm all set and have resolved my boot issues.
