Hello,
Where would I find my net2ftp database?
Thanks

Hello @FabienneB13
The Net2FTP tool available via the “FTP Explorer” button has been removed because it was outdated and no longer maintained. To access the data in your client area, I invite you to use an FTP client, for example:
FileZilla: https://help.ovhcloud.com/csm/fr-web-hosting-filezilla?id=kb_article_view&sysparm_article=KB0052749
Cyberduck: https://help.ovhcloud.com/csm/fr-web-hosting-web-cyberduck-macos?id=kb_article_view&sysparm_article=KB0052717
You can also find the common errors when using an FTP software here: https://help.ovhcloud.com/csm/fr-web-hosting-ftp-diagnosis?id=kb_article_view&sysparm_article=KB0052744
Regarding your own offer, feel free to share its reference so we can take a closer look ![]()

Hello @FabienneB13
Which domain?
Thanks for the asterisk reply, I downloaded Cyberduck but I’m floundering
An outdated tool can improve, can’t it? ![]()
Good evening @FabienneB13
It’s not about CMSs, but about home‑grown software.
The Net2FTP tool is obsolete. Use the FTP tool: FILEZILLA.
Transfers should be performed with the FILEZILLA application in ***** SFTP *** mode:**
See the paragraph in my guide: E – Installation of the FTP software FILEZILLA
The database of OVH shared hosting cannot be accessed via the FTP tool: FILEZILLA.
You can only download a backup of the database to your PC:
See the paragraph in my guide: Ua – Complete backup of your site to your PC
Hello @FabienneB13
If you're having trouble with Cyberduck, the best thing is to use FileZilla, which works great with OVH. There's an official OVH guide to set it up step‑by‑step.
https://docs.ovhcloud.com/fr/guides/web-cloud/web-hosting/ftp-filezilla-user-guide
The most important thing for it to work is that you use the SFTP protocol instead of FTP, because operating systems no longer allow regular FTP connections for security reasons. In FileZilla, instead of entering “ftp.tudominio.com”, enter the IP address or the FTP server you have, and select SFTP instead of FTP. The port you should use is 22, not 21.
If it still doesn't work, check this OVH guide on common FTP errors, which can help you identify the problem.
