Since Friday 24/07, I haven't been able to send email from my professional mailbox (SMTP 535 error). My client area linked to this address is managed by a communication company that is unresponsive because of annual holidays....
I did manage to get them to reset my password (Wednesday 29/07) so I could regularize my mail sending.
However, after a login attempt with the reset password, it didn't work. So I have had no access at all to my professional mailbox since that date...
I've tried everything. Typing the password manually, copy‑pasting, using several browsers, private browsing, cleared caches and cookies, and also from a friend's computer and phone. Nothing works; the webmail is blocked (and I'm also blocked via Outlook, for example).
I requested a second password reset in the meantime, and the problem persists.
It still shows me "the request is invalid, no data was recorded"
Calling OVH customer service at the same time, they told me my address was probably blocked for spam. In the meantime, OVH and my comm agency both tell me that, for them, it's unblocked. Yet, using the password reset this morning, I still cannot log in.
I am exhausted and powerless facing this. Any other ideas? I should note that I don't have access to the client area myself, having handed that management over to my agency.
Given the situation, the most effective thing is to open a support ticket directly.
How can I create a support ticket?
Click this link to create a support request from the OVHcloud Help Center. Then log in with your OVHcloud credentials.
Once you are logged in, click 📧 Tickets. Choose the reason for your request and then select the product and service in question. Next, specify your request to receive personalized help suggestions and advice. If this does not meet your needs, click Next to complete your request and create a support ticket. Be sure to provide as much information as possible so our teams can help you better.
I can't help you directly, and I don't know if OVH support will be able to do much for you if you're not the holder of the service you're trying to connect to.
But, a general reminder that applies to everyone:
You must always be the owner of your services! Here, your mail service.
The communications agency you work with only has technical access to assist you in using your offering.
Thus, when they are on vacation, you still have access to the OVH panel to manage problems, you can still contact OVH support since you are the owner of the said service, and finally, if you want to change agencies, there is no ownership transfer to handle; you simply remove their rights and that's it.
Note, this may already be how you work, and in that case, everything is fine.
If that's not the case, when everyone is back from their holidays, I really invite you to take stock of this with your provider.
