Issue displaying a site when the server and database are empty [solved]

Hello,

I think my previous message wasn’t posted, so I’m rewriting it. Sorry if the other topic is live in parallel.

My site https://www.aura-noire.fr/ shows a casino page, even though my database and server are empty of files.

I changed hosting plans today; I had an old “personal” plan with a PrestaShop that I deleted and I migrated to a startup this afternoon.

I don’t understand where this site/page comes from, especially since the image structure, according to the source code, looks like WordPress.

I don’t know where the problem originates, nor where to look to remove this page.
Do you have any idea?

Start by immediately changing all your passwords for:

  • OVH Manager,
  • Database,
  • FTP

Follow strictly the profile sheet from my guide:

Then delete everything and start from scratch:

If it is a “one‑click”" installation, the cleanest approach is to uninstall everything and install WordPress manually and properly.

This domain aura-noire.fr does not belong to you (or no longer belongs to you).

Did you forget to renew it???

I think you’re right @fritz2cat, when I go to the list of my services on OVH, I no longer see my domain in the "type" column…

I only see: Web Hosting / MX Plan / DNS Zones…

However, I can see my mail account list and DNS zone; is it normal if the domain belongs to someone else?

Was it yours? Why didn't you renew it despite the alerts?

In any case, it is now permanently lost.

It’s a site I had put on pause for a while because of COVID and personal unforeseen circumstances. I still wanted to relaunch once I regain personal stability, so I skipped the renewal this year, which was out of sync with the hosting.

Too bad for me. I’m starting from scratch on this project and will pick a different extension.

Now I need to figure out how to link the new domain name I just got to my current hosting.

It will be easier for web hosting than for e‑mail.

If you have a Perso, just add the new domain via the “multisite” page, and it’s better to use a root folder other than “www” to start from scratch.

For email hosting, delete all mailboxes, then terminate the mail hosting. You can recreate it on your new domain.

(note that I’m basing this on the documentation; I’ve never been in this situation)
