Hello,
It has been a week that the problem persists and I have received no response to my tickets from OVH. My client calls me every two hours to ask when it will work. Let me explain:
Since last Thursday, on an emailPRO plan for my client’s five mail addresses, there is an issue receiving mail on all five addresses (with OWA and Outlook). When sending from another address, the following error occurs:
Message d'erreur reçu par l'expéditeur (si disponible) This is the mail system at host out35.mail.ovh.net. I'm sorry to have to inform you that your message could not be delivered to one or more recipients. It's attached below. For further assistance, please send mail to postmaster. If you do so, please include this problem report. You can delete your own text from the attached returned message. The mail system : host pro2.mail.ovh.net[37.59.145.2] said: 550 5.7.54 SMTP; Unable to relay recipient in non-accepted domain (in reply to RCPT TO command)
A small development since Monday: when I go to the emailPRO client account administration, it shows in the associated domains:
"task in progress - Switching to non-authoritative in progress"
but there is no further progress as if the requested action remained blocked.
I hope I have been clear enough.
Thank you in advance for your help.
Best regards,
Raphaël
Hi @RaphaelO, I’m sorry you’re experiencing these problems.
A first assessment for this type of issue is to determine who is sending and who is receiving.
If you’ve run tests, were the senders from different providers? (Gmail, Yahoo…) or OVH accounts?
At least this way we can rule out some possibilities, as the error appears to be a misconfiguration of the domain in the Email Pro platform.
Hello, thank you for your response.
I have tested with Gmail/Hotmail addresses and addresses hosted at O2switch and Orange.
Same problem. (Only with the O2switch address do I get an error message; with the other providers there is no message, but also no receipt on the OVH side.)
Thanks
Hi @RaphaelO,
I think I may know what the error is then; you mentioned that you’ve opened more than one ticket and haven’t received a response.
Can you share here which one is the most recent regarding this problem?
Regards,
the latest ticket is CS16438659
it mentioned:
Hello, having not received a response after opening a ticket on 30/07 CS16403170 (it has been 5 days that I'm waiting for a response and so is my client), I am reopening a new one. thanks
I've been able to see your ticket and I'm giving you an answer there to avoid sharing your configuration data publicly @RaphaelO
quick question, it is notified:
We recommend modifying the domain information on the three mail products and setting the “non‑authoritative” server to mx1.mail.ovh.net.
For the MailPro and Exchange products I found how to make the change, but for MXplan how can I do it?
Regards,
Modifications to services must be made by the customers in case they cause a service interruption, because the support team cannot modify customers' products.
In your MxPlan service the process should be similar: in the "Associated Domains" tab, click the three‑dot icon > "Settings". Then change the current relay to "mx1.mail.ovh.net" and save the changes.
Everything seems to be back in order.
Thank you for your efficiency.
Best regards,
Raphaël
