On public cloud - got a fresh install of Debian 10… got my private key etc all setup
When trying to SSH onto the box, it hangs for about 30 seconds then i get a timeout error (cant ping the box either)
If i swap to another image, it works perfectly fine, just cant get debian to work … and i need debian for my project.
anyone else got this issue? waisted so many hours today due to this stupid problem
Did you try to see what happen in vnc / kvm ?
Maybe a network issue on the master ?
Just the login terminal on the vnc/kvm - but cant login due to only having a private key.
probably a network configuration issue with this image…
You should try to go in rescue mode, check the network configuration, and try to apply this with a static configuration directly in the /etc/network/interfaces…
That's not the best way, and OVH should provide a working iso… But if you have no other options atm…
Hi @GarethJ1
Did you try with "Debian" user instead of "root" ?
did you have a private interfaces with a Gateway set by default ?
Did the rescue mode works ?
Can you connect with a new VM on another region and same image ?
jalinn
Yep, used Debian instead of root
I do have a private interface attached
Rescue mode - no
Different Region: not tried
Hum, If I remember I had issue in the past with the public IP when I was adding a private IP on the vrack… I had to configure the public IP with the API on the creation for the VM… but this make a long time now, don't remember at all how to do that with the API…
On which region did you try to spawn?
