Recover deleted files with FileZilla

Hello,

I accidentally deleted some files in FileZilla, and I have no idea what they were. Because of that, my site is showing a 500 error.

The site in question: aminti.fr

I was able to retrieve a backup of my site via the OVH database, because obviously I can no longer find the backups I made manually and that were stored on my computer (most likely also accidentally deleted given how clumsy I am). I downloaded it locally to my computer in addition to restoring it through the OVH panel, but the site is still showing an error.

I suppose I need to re‑upload the backup via FileZilla, but I have no idea how to do it.

Do I have to delete everything via FileZilla and simply click‑and‑drag the backup file? If you know the proper steps, feel free to share; at this point I’ll take any advice.

I’m aware this is a bit shaky; originally I just wanted to check my storage space because it said it was full even though I don’t have that much data on it. Again, any advice is welcome.

Thank you.

Hello,
Your DB hasn't moved. You need to restore your files.
Menu "FTP - SSH" then "Restore a backup" in the OVHcloud client area.

Hello @aminti

Simply restore the OVH backups from the day before yesterday by following my guide:

https://wordetweb.com/word-et-web/WORDPRESS-guide-installation-de-WordPress-premier-domaine-chez-OVH-FR.htm#_T_–_Restauration

I have started the restoration, thank you very much!

Thank you!

PS: I remember you when I asked a question on this forum several years ago for another client. Happy to see that you are still active, and thank you for your many years of support to our community!
