Softether OVH VPN

I have setup a Softether VPN on SSD KVM, and it works fine for using the internet, however I can't use the Xbox App as it says the Teredo Filter is blocked, can anyone help me?

Hi @AndrewB,

In the first instance, it would be worth following the checks on this page, to ensure everything is working OK at your end: https://support.xbox.com/en-GB/xbox-on-windows/social/troubleshoot-party-chat

I'm not familiar with exactly how the Teredo service encapsulates IPv6 into IPv4 UDP datagrams.
But I have encountered issues trying to use SoftEther as a Remote Access VPN when devices on the remote network are making use of UDP for communications. In my particular case, things were a little unusual due to the use of broadcast UDP packets during the early phases of communication, which cannot traverse through the VPN connection.

The purpose of Teredo is primarily to allow IPv6 client functionality over IPv4 networks, but it also provides fairly robust techniques for breaking through different types of NAT. My guess is Microsoft is hosting their servers in IPv6 address space but also wants the advantage of getting the maximum number of people online, without having to worry too much about individuals' network configurations. It is entirely possible that having an extra layer of communication (via SoftEther) is disrupting something.

There is a forum for SoftEther; it might be worth posting something on there to see if anyone else has encountered the same issue. You'll have to google it I'm afraid, it appears I can only have one link in a post on this forum.
