I am already a Kimsufi client and I have already sent them proof that I do not live in Europe.
As a result I have been exempted from VAT with Kimsufi.
Will this VAT exemption also automatically apply if I subscribe to a SoYouStart server or do I have to go through the same process again of sending proof that I am not a European resident ?

if your order was placed through an OVHcloud account, you will not have to provide this document again.
On the other hand, if your order was placed through a kimsufi. You will be asked to do so through the SYS interface.

So, shouldn't it be the other way around ?
Why would I have to provide proof again to Kimsufi when I have already successfully done that.
If you recommend a Kimsufi server, you won't have to.
If you order a soyoustart server from the soyoustart interface. As the two services are separate, you may be asked for this information again.

Is there a way to send the information (proof of address + ID) to SoYouStart before I put my order for a new server (so that I am exempted from VAT right from the beginning) ?

it will not be possible to send it when you order. You will only be able to do this if it is necessary after the order has been placed.
