VPS - Disable Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) from Plesk Debian with SSH

How can disable Google Authenticator or Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) for Plesk Debian 12 via the command-line interface (CLI) ,
Ii can't access to my plesk after login

Bonjour,

Vous devriez demander ça au support plesk ou dans leur documentation.

Cordialement, janus57

Hi @NadhmiH

If you can, I suggest you use the GUI.
The desired MFA seems simpler on the GUI.

Even on the GUI, Plesk's two-factor authentication sometimes has problems.

I recently upgraded to Plesk 11. To activate two-factor authentication, I had to copy the code, because it was impossible to scan the QR despite the fact that my clocks (see tip below) were in sync.

So I'm afraid that staying on the command line will complicate things even more. Go back to the GUI just to disable two-factor authentication.

Tip: often when two-factor authentication gets stuck, it's a time problem. Try to make sure that the time (on your server, your PC and on your smartphone with Google or Microsoft Authentificator) is set automatically to the time zone where you live.

Have a nice week-end

Hello ,

Hi @NadhmiH

Just a suggestion and a prceision.

Suggestion first :
Here is CoPilot Answer on your topic.
Sorry for the french, but all commands are in english.
Can you try both please ?

plesk bin extension --install two-factor-authentication
plesk bin two-factor-authentication --enable`

AND

plesk bin two-factor-authentication --disable
plesk bin extension --uninstall two-factor-authentication

Here comes the precision
It's seems we have a misunderstanding. I never tell you to reinstall your VPS.
Il tell you that you can try to connect on your VPS with graphic Interface.
Please see this procedure.
It's also a CoPilot answer, please try.

To connect to a Plesk server using a graphical interface:
1. Open your web browser.
2. Type the following address in the address bar: `https://:8443`. For example, `https://example.com:8443` or `https://192.0.2.1:8443`¹(https://docs.plesk.com/fr-FR/12.5/administrator-guide/%C3%A0-propos-de-plesk/se-connecter-%C3%A0-plesk.74769/).
3. The Plesk login page will open. Enter your username and password to log in. By default, the username is often `admin`, but it may be different if Plesk has been installed by a third party¹(https://docs.plesk.com/fr-FR/12.5/administrator-guide/%C3%A0-propos-de-plesk/se-connecter-%C3%A0-plesk.74769/).
4. Select the interface language if required, then click ‘Log in’²(https://docs.plesk.com/fr-FR/obsidian/customer-guide/d%C3%A9marrer-rapidement-avec-plesk/se-connecter-%C3%A0-plesk.77963/).

Please try and let me know
