VPS gameserver / website down. Password reset doesn’t work

Hello

Yesterday around 2:30 p.m., I was informed that my website was no longer reachable. The game server running on my VPS had also gone down.

When I then tried to log in to the customer portal, my password was suddenly rejected as incorrect. I had only recently changed the password and stored it in my password manager. Password recovery also doesn’t work: the requested email never arrives. I used my customer ID from an existing OVHcloud email for that as well.

That same morning at 9:20 a.m., I received a regular email stating that my VPS needs to be renewed in 20 days. I was not notified about any suspension, account change, or server shutdown.

To double‑check, I created a second account with a different email address. Login and password recovery work there. Then I initiated a change to the email address of my original account. The corresponding confirmation email also arrived. So receiving OVHcloud emails works on that address in general.

I couldn’t reach phone support outside of service hours. The live chat has not been able to help me so far.

Has anyone experienced something like this before?

Hello @Repratron

In that case, you will need to contact the Support team so they can give you a solution.

How can I create a support ticket?

Click this link to create a support request from the OVHcloud Help Center. Then, log in with your OVHcloud credentials.

Once you are logged in, click ✉ Tickets on the Ticket creation button. Select the reason for your request and then the product and service in question. Then, specify your request to get personalized help suggestions and advice. If this does not meet your needs, click Next to complete your request and create a support ticket. Make sure to provide as much information as possible so our teams can help you better.

Kind regards.

Mr. @Asterix the user cannot log in with his account, so he cannot create the ticket.
