Welcome to the Public Cloud category of OVHcloud. This space is dedicated to DevOps engineers, cloud architects and developers who design, automate and manage native cloud infrastructures.
It's the ideal place to discuss your Kubernetes deployments, Terraform scripts, usage of OpenStack APIs and our managed services (Data, AI, Databases).
What will you find in this category?
- Compute & Network: Help with Public Cloud instances (CPU, RAM, GPU), private networking (vRack, Load Balancers, Floating IP), and using the OpenStack ecosystem (CLI, Horizon).
- Containers & Orchestration: Sharing and troubleshooting around Managed Kubernetes Service (MKS) and Managed Private Registry.
- Data, AI & Databases: Discussions on Object Storage (S3 API), deploying managed database clusters (Managed Databases for PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB...), and our Artificial Intelligence solutions (AI Training, AI Deploy).
- Automation (IaC) & API: Assistance with writing and debugging your Terraform manifests, Ansible playbooks, and OVHcloud API requests.
Best Practices for Getting Help
DevOps support requires flawless technical context. To get quick and precise help from the community:
- Specify the environment: Always indicate the region (e.g., GRA9, BHS5), the service version (e.g., Kubernetes 1.28), and the tool used (Terraform provider ovh v0.34).
- Use Markdown for code: Consistently format your YAML manifests,
.tffiles, JSON requests and terminal error outputs (kubectl logs, openstack server list) with the backticks```. - Zero Trust (Security): Never share your
openrc.shfiles, API tokens, database passwords or S3 secret keys. Mask these values in your code shares.
