I have a Wordpress website setup on my web hosting. It's been uploaded through FTP. It's been a few times since I uploaded it that while working in Wordpress backend connected as adminstrator, my IP gets banned by OVHCloud for "suspect behavior". It then takes a while before I can access either the frontend of the backend of my Wordpress website.
And, furthermore, I have setup a form in the frontend that uses the "wp-admin/admin-post.php" mechanism. When it's been a long time I didn't get IP banned, that form doesn't work anymore. And when my banned IP gets reestablished, suddenly the form starts working as it should, logging the data, and redirecting the page after the server operations.
anyone have any idea on what could cause, first the IP ban, and then the other behavior that seems linked with the IP ban?
Thank you in advance
Hey @Lisette Nepveu
The frequent server requests, especially those resulting in errors, can be misinterpreted by OVHcloud as a potential attack. This might be triggering the IP blocks, I know, it's not right. Consider contacting OVHcloud's support to discuss your specific situation and explore potential solutions.
