Can't disassociate an email from a hosting to use another domain

I got a .ca domain and then I realized I needed an email so I got a small hosting that included 2 accounts. That offer included a free domain so I got another one, the .com version of it. The hosting came associated with the second domain, when all I wanted from it really was a redirection. I was able to go on the hosting and put the correct domain under "My Sites", and it works fine. The email, however, doesn't allow me to pick one of my domains under "Associated domains"; the automated chat told me I needed to remove the email offer from my hosting and add it back choosing the correct domain, but to cancel that I need to access a link sent via email that asks me to tell what went wrong, but it consistently gives me "An error has occurred cancelling the service. Got an invalid (or empty) URL".

I've opened a ticket yesterday but the agent this morning ignored the most current issue and answered a different question altogether. I tried to get in touch with someone via phone since there's no live chat at all - even picking "Public Cloud" or something, the automated assistant just tells me to look at the network status and then to go pound sand - I tried via phone and there's no phone support for this either!

Is that the standard of service we're supposed to expect?

Good morning @LuminousHeightsIT

Here you can compare the different support types that OVHcloud offers

https://www.ovhcloud.com/es-es/support-levels/

You can also share your ticket number in case a staff member can help you with your problem.

Kind regards,

Hello @LuminousHeightsIT

Instead of also getting a small hosting package, why not have taken an MX Plan:

This page says "Our team handles incidents via telephone, email (ticket) and live chat", which so far doesn't seem true, since even via phone there's apparently no support for web services - someone from billing actually tried to be really helpful by placing some notes internally but in the end I got a response again on the next day - and live chat also as I mentioned got me nowhere.

This time the agent on the ticket said the MX plan was deleted so I could create a new one with the domain I want; I click on it and it gives me an error, which probably means it is deleted, but the hosting plan still shows something attached, it's not empty for me to activate a mail service. If I try to cancel it again, it gives me an error also.

The ticket number is CS16827393. I can't believe it's going to be another full day of waiting for something that the interface should allow me to do on my own!

Edit: I got a response on my ticket and apparently the cancelling of the email takes a full day. Well, at least I got a response faster this time. A full day, though... that seems excessive.

I thought of that but I really only need one address, and would need a small managed hosting service too for a simple page, so the Eco Starter seemed exactly what I needed. It's cheaper too (1.89 CAD/month).

The link you provided is broken.

No, it’s fine. I just checked it.

Nope, it is not fine.

Edit: I see now there's a typo, it's ovhcloud and not ovbcloud. Mystery solved.
