I am facing Cybersquatting by an ovh customer, they purchased the domain just to resell it to me with a profit.
I launched my project publicly (app on google play) on 25th NOV 2021, they purchased the domain .com on 6 DEC 2021 (2 weeks timeframe) the name is so unique that it's impossible for someone else to think of it in this short period of time, plus the same project idea.
They sent me their bill which was 9 euros and offered to sell it back to me for more than 1000 euros, i tried everything i can to make them be reasonable and sell it for lower than 50 euros, they agreed on 35 euros but the next day they went back to being manipulative.
It's just one person (i did the search) and he made up a story that they are a startup and had the same idea as me and purchased the domain without doing any market search for similar name.
It was not hard to find the owner of the domain since they opened a facebook page with same name as well so it's easier for me to find them.
Me writing this forum post is my last hopeless attempt to get some support.
My final choice will be to change the name and move on, but at this point after spending so much time and money on building this project it feels bad to do so.
Help me get this to the OVH support, i will supply all proofs and the conversation that went between us prooving him trying to take advantage of me to pay him more than the domain is worth.
