Inconsistent GPU L40S billing — €2,287 for a 9‑day instance (€1.40/h)

Hello everyone,

I'm posting here to see if anyone else has encountered this kind of situation, because I'm a bit lost.

I have a GPU instance (model l40s-90, Gravelines / GRA11, billed at €1.40 excl. tax per hour) on a Public Cloud project created on July 23, 2026. On my “upcoming invoicing” for the current month, I see an on‑demand consumption of more than €2,287 for this single instance.

What seems inconsistent to me:

  • The instance has existed at most since July 23, i.e. ~9 days as of August 1 (~216 h if it had run continuously).
  • At €1.40 /h, that would amount to at most ~€300 for the period.
  • Yet €2,287 would correspond to ~1,634 h, i.e. ~68 days of operation — impossible.
  • I also noticed that the amount kept increasing while the instance was shelved, then deleted.

I have already opened a support ticket with these details. While waiting for their response, I wanted to ask:

  • Has anyone experienced such a discrepancy between billed hours and the actual runtime of an instance?
  • If so, how was it resolved on your side?

I’m attaching a few screenshots.

Thanks in advance for your feedback!

Hello,

I took a little time to reply, sorry.

Indeed, the issue seems to have been resolved; I will mention it in the ticket and close it, since it hasn't been taken up yet.

Thank you for your response, it quickly reassured me to see it, but I didn't have time to reply properly at the moment as I was traveling without a reliable connection.

Thanks again, best regards.

Hello, great I'm relieved that the situation is now resolved.
Thank you and have a nice day,
