Hello, I just ordered a new VPS from OVH (type VPS-3). I'm already frustrated because it was supposed to be located in Erith (UK) according to the configuration and order summary, but it ended up being located in London.
The problem is that I discovered port 25 is blocked in London and cannot be opened, whereas it might be possible in Erith. How can I get it unblocked, should I request a refund? Right now I'm stuck with my Postfix/Dovecot setup.
OVHcloud does not block port 25 preventively on its VPSs. The port is usually open by default. However, it implements an automatic monitoring system for outgoing SMTP traffic.
If you have just signed up for the service, you may be entitled to a refund within the legal period of 14 days if the service does not meet expectations.
I recommend that you first contact Support and explain your needs when contracting your VPS, as well as have them clarify what happened with the location.
I hope it gets resolved soon, best regards.

Thank you everyone for your responses. That's exactly what I did, since the order dates back to yesterday (actually more precisely this morning). I was able to cancel it and request a refund. So, thanks to the support that was truly impeccable, I was able to get another VPS this time based in Graveline, France.
