What’s on your IT roadmap for this back-to-school season?

Hey everyone, :waving_hand:

I hope you had a great summer and were able to recharge your batteries (or make progress on your side projects!) :sun:.

Late August often marks a turning point: offices fill up again, servers start heating up, and we’re actively preparing for the final quarter of the year. The back‑to‑school period is traditionally a pivotal time with a batch of new technical challenges.

What’s on your IT roadmap for this season?

  • :rocket: New launches: Deploying a new application or moving a project that was incubated over the summer into production?

  • :counterclockwise_arrows_button: Migrations & Refactors: An architecture change, a move to the Public Cloud, or newer, more powerful bare‑metal servers?

  • :chart_increasing: Scaling: Preparing your infrastructure to handle end‑of‑year traffic spikes (Black Friday, holidays…)?

  • :locked: Security & Optimization: Revisiting your backups, disaster‑recovery plans (DRP/BCP), or a security audit?

Share your big current projects in the answers below!

It’s the perfect time to discuss your technical choices, ask for advice if you’re unsure about an architecture, or simply see what the rest of the community is planning.

Happy restart to everyone! :rocket:

I can’t believe it? No project for the new school term? :scream:

Hey @FabL !

Imagine how our heads are with back‑to‑school.... :joy: :joy:

Well, the truth is that a new project has come up for me that has to do with the Health sector, but I still can't give information about the application branch.

That said, so far the tech stack will be the following:

The initial MVP will be aimed exclusively at Spain, although we’ll have everything prepared so that extending it to other countries won’t require much work.

I’ll keep you posted when we have something that can be "released"

Cheers! :waving_hand:

September Project (pending October 1st):
Continue to digest the disguised “no‑increase” of Public Cloud pricing. :money_mouth_face:
