Restore from Backup

Hi, after incident on SGB Datacenter, it's possible restore vps from backup ?

Dont know is restoring a VPS from a backup is possible. However, we have tried as follows: ordered a new VPS and added the IP address of the new VPS to the accesslist of the backup by using cloud API as instructed in https://docs.ovh.com/gb/en/dedicated/services-backup-storage/ . How to proceed from here, we dont know. Would be interested if anybody knows how make the actual restoration to the new VPS happen.

Hi PiksuO, I make this with de API adding de IPBlock, I ordered another VPS with Windows in Gravelines (GRA) - Francia. After 3 days de IP is in IPBLOCK but the status is IN PROCESS and I can´t access from my new server to the FTP Backup. I make a ticket and i still waiting for response. Thanks.

Hi,
Is it possible to restore Automatic backup to a new VPS server?

Any progress? I would like to mount my automated backup of a destroyed SBG VPS to a new VPS in order to access my data. It seems to me that this can not be done by using ovh web control panel as it insists on mounting/restoring the backup to the destroyed server? Can automated backup be accessed by any other means beyond limited functionality web ovh control panel? Can automated backup be accessed with OVH cloud API? Where is my automated backup? Can that destination be ftped, sshed,… ?

Hello again SaeidT, For your information, I think that I have now learned a bit more.
I am referring to the table under "VPS backup services" section in https://www.ovhcloud.com/en/lp/status-services-backup-strasbourg/ . For every "VPS automated backup" row the corresponding "datacenter" (~openstack region?) is labelled as "os-pcs-sbg". I am afraid that "sbg" here means that the VPS automated backups were physically stored along with our VPSs at the SBG datacenter. If the VPS automated backups were stored physically elsewhere OVH would have instructed us long ago how to mount and restore our data. Now that the backup is at SBG site it may be destroyed along with our VPSs. That is why the above mentioned table states that the existence of our backups is "Under investigation". This is my interpretation. This may be right or wrong interpretation. Lets see.
