Synchronizing calendars and mailboxes on OVH

hello,

When sharing the calendar (Exchange OVH) with other addresses (MailPro OVH), the recipient I want to share with receives the sharing request, accepts it, and the shared calendar is added to his personal calendar, but there is no synchronization. Anything that is added does not appear. Awaiting your response.

For the sync to work, you need to make sure that when sharing the calendar you grant the recipient the appropriate permissions.

  1. From your webmail, go to the “calendar” section
  2. In the window that opens, find the recipient in the list and change their access permission.
  3. Save the changes. The recipient should now see the events synchronized correctly.

Note, MailPro until 2025 was based on Microsoft Exchange servers; this is no longer the case.

The MS Exchange server provides management of contacts and calendars. You may see it in your webmail proXX.mail.ovh.net.

The problem arises when you want to access the calendars/contacts outside of the webmail.

OVH has limited Mail Pro's network connectivity to the SMTP+IMAP protocols (maybe POP3 as well).

Neither IMAP, and even less POP3, allow interaction with calendars and contacts. So I can’t see how to synchronize calendars between Exchange Hosted and Mail Pro.

The problem is that it doesn't work either in Webmail, and that's very inconvenient.

After a new test, if in Outlook I right‑click on my calendars, choose “Add a calendar from the Internet,” and paste the Webcal address provided during the sharing request, it works and the calendar updates correctly.
