Bug when changing the plan, no response from support.

Hello

Like many, I wanted to change my plan before June 1.
So I’m trying to switch from Starter to the PERSO plan.

There I get an error “An error occurred while modifying your shared hosting plan. (Cannot read properties of undefined (reading 'order'))”

ok… I’m opening a ticket.

They ask me to follow the guides (no kidding).
They give me a response that isn’t meant for me (great, privacy)
Then they tell me it’s a bug and that it’s been escalated.

My report dates from May 13.
The last support message is from May 18 (We are still waiting for information from the administrators.)
I tried a follow‑up on June 4, nothing.
I tried a follow‑up on June 21, nothing.
The last support message is over a month old........

Anyway, after trying just now, it’s still buggy.
Question: “If you want to keep your current rates, you can renew your hosting before June 1 2026.”
I hope I’ll still be able to benefit from it if they ever fix the bug.

Call OVH support at +33 9 72 10 10 07.
Preferably between 8 a.m. and 9 a.m. in the morning, or around 3 p.m. when there is less waiting.

Or on Twitter @ovh_support_fr or #OVHcloudsupport

any news.
For them the bug is fixed and there’s no word about the June promo… nice…
Of course, the bug is absolutely not fixed, I still can’t change my plan and as for the promo I think I can sit on it…

Hi @kvs

This error has been reported in the OVHcloud community several times, with users encountering exactly the same message when trying to change their plan.

The users who reported this have received replies confirming that it is a bug and that it has been reported to the admin team, which matches the answer you were given.

The only thing I would recommend is that you keep responding to the same ticket, indicating that the error persists and that you would like them to review your case with higher priority.

I hope they provide a solution soon :crossed_fingers:

response from July 13: You should be able to change the offer to person right now.
me: Still not.
I tried with another browser, in incognito mode, etc… still the same bug.
and not a word about the promotion?

response today: a period. yes yes, a simple period and “.”
This ticket is permanently closed.

If you need assistance again, you can start a new conversation.

so the problem is still not resolved two months after opening a ticket and they close it, without a word, just a .

I tried to cancel.... ah ah ah....

I go to the cancellation page and there “you have no service”
no wonder it bugs when switching offers then :upside_down_face:

I’m hesitating to open a ticket....

Every time they (or the AI) close a ticket to “get rid of your case”, open a new ticket until it’s resolved. You’ll probably need to call them simultaneously, because the tickets are partly handled by an AI, so it’s possible that no one actually read the ticket. The other problem is that during the holidays there aren’t enough people to handle the cases.

Hello @kvs

Create an Incident ticket:

Manager OVH > https://www.ovh.com/manager/#/dedicated/useraccount/dashboard > My support requests > Create a request / ticket

then:

Call OVH support at +33 9 72 10 10 07.
Preferably between 8 a.m. and 9 a.m. in the morning, or around 3 p.m. when there is less waiting.

Or already now on Twitter @ovh_support_fr or #OVHcloudsupport

With the hosting fees doubled, we were promised support that would finally work properly.

Maybe someday...

Hello @fritz2cat

We can always dream!

Octave said it (for support)... So we’re waiting.
I pay for pro support and I don’t have much to complain about (except on weekends), but when I see this kind of feedback :frowning:

another week, still nothing.
It’s progressing, I changed the error message...

I went from
(Cannot read properties of undefined (reading 'order'))
to
(Plan mx_010_mut is not sold repeated 2 time(s))

wow!
and to think that next I’ll try to fight either to cancel, or to get the rate that ended on June 1st.

edit: wow! the cancel section no longer tells me I have no service  darn, the progress is insane!

Hard, hard when the problem isn’t easy to reproduce at the support level

Hello

Today I thought, wow, it’s been a long time since I last tested.
After a last support message that left me puzzled (July 28)
Your request falls within the scope of the Web technical support team, so I am forwarding your ticket to the appropriate department; my colleagues will get back to you as soon as possible.

Right? Seriously? Since May 13 I’ve been struggling and you tell me the ticket should be forwarded to technical support on July 28!!!
No news since, of course.

Anyway, I thought, let’s test. And voilà! It works, I can move on to the next step!!!
Obviously, no contact, no warning at all, etc…
And of course I can’t benefit from the promotion that ended on June 1.

So, on May 12, I renewed for 2 years for €64.49 incl. tax.
And now, if I upgrade from my STARTER to a PERSO, they ask me €89.47 incl. tax (until June 1 2028).
So basically it would cost me over €150 for two years!

Thus, I’m back to dealing with the sales department for several weeks…

What a hassle!

The worst part of this story is that I desperately need to switch because I'm right at the 1 GB limit of the starter! I have to juggle to avoid going over the limit. I'm stuck!!! (or I pay!!! ha ha ha!)

Luckily money is the least important thing nowadays... :joy:

No link but it makes me laugh. As soon as I get a notification of a reply to this post, I receive an email....... but never in French!! ha ha ha!!!

Sure, they're all advantages  while you wait for OVH to respond to your tickets, you learn Spanish, English and other languages... :joy:

From this place :backhand_index_pointing_up: you can modify the notifications you receive

Best regards!
Sergio

I don’t always have it in Spanish, it seems. And it’s not even finished yet, it only translated half of it.
And in the options, I can’t choose the language oh! :upside_down_face:
